Encompassing 43 acres of land, this exhibit features many African plains animals. The crowning feature of this exhibit is the African savannah area where patrons can lookout across sweeping plains within the exhibit where zebra, wildebeests, dama gazelles, ostriches and giraffes all coincide together mimicking the real African savannah. Within this savannah is also an area where the giraffes can come up to the patrons and they can feed them straight from their own hands. Habitats for lions, vervet monkeys, cheetahs and camels also make up the Heart of Africa Exhibit.
